Water effects always make for a cool diorama, and for this scene the characters are up to their knees in it! I sculpted a textured
ground, added the figures and vegetation, then poured brown-dyed resin over it. The trees are particularly creepy-shaped roots of Melilotis alba, an
invasive weed I was pulling at work. The rushes are pine needles, and the smaller bush is actually the roots of a scallion.
